Product Specialist – Paediatric Assistive Technology
Help children live more independently as Etac’s Product Specialist, combining paediatric assistive technology expertise with meaningful customer relationships across Sydney.
Etac is a global developer and provider of assistive technology, dedicated to enabling people to live active and independent lives. In Australia, our paediatric business represents the highly regarded R82 and Convaid brands, supporting children and young people across seating, mobility, standing, walking, toileting and bathing.
We are looking for a Product Specialist (PS) – Paediatric Assistive Technology to take ownership of an established Sydney territory covering Sydney North, North-West and adjoining parts of Western Sydney.
Your mission
Your mission is to grow Etac's paediatric business across your territory by becoming a trusted product and commercial partner to clinicians and customers. You will develop existing accounts, create new opportunities and deliver an excellent customer experience from product education and trials through to fitting and follow-up.
The role
As Product Specialist, you will own sales growth and customer relationships for Etac's paediatric portfolio across your territory.
This is a hands-on, field-based commercial role with a strong clinical and technical dimension. You will spend much of your time in the field, meeting clinicians and customers, conducting product demonstrations and equipment trials, and helping identify solutions based on each child's functional requirements and goals.
This is not transactional selling. Success comes from curiosity, credibility and the ability to combine clinical understanding with commercial drive.
You will report directly to Andrew McDonald, Managing Director, and play a key role in the product specialist team.
Your key responsibilities
Grow sales across your territory by developing existing accounts, identifying new customers and proactively managing your sales pipeline.
Build strong relationships with therapists, rehabilitation professionals, hospitals, schools, disability organisations and other key stakeholders.
Provide credible product expertise through demonstrations, trials, presentations, education and training.
Guide customers through the product journey, from configuration and quotation through to fitting, delivery and follow-up.
Develop deep expertise in the R82 and Convaid portfolio and its clinical applications within the NDIS environment.
Stay close to customer needs, competitors and market developments, representing Etac at relevant industry events.
You will work closely with Etac's Product, Customer Service, Technical Service and broader sales teams to provide a high standard of customer support.
Your profile
You are comfortable operating at the intersection of people, clinical needs and commercial outcomes. You listen before recommending, build credibility with healthcare professionals and enjoy turning relationships and opportunities into results.
You may already be an experienced assistive technology or medical-device salesperson. Alternatively, you may be an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nurse or other allied health professional ready to move into an industry-based commercial role.
We are particularly interested in:
Experience in assistive technology, medical devices, rehabilitation, disability or healthcare, either commercially or clinically.
Experience with paediatrics, seating, positioning, mobility or complex equipment prescription is highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability or potential in consultative sales, account management and business development.
Understanding of the NDIS and assistive technology funding and prescription process is highly regarded.
A relevant allied health qualification is advantageous, but not essential.
A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
For allied health professionals considering a move from clinical practice, this is a commercial rather than treating clinician role, so a genuine interest in sales and territory growth is important.
What's in it for you
Real impact, real lives. Your work helps children and young people participate more fully in everyday life.
Freedom with ownership. Take responsibility for an established territory with significant autonomy and strong team support.
Products you can believe in. Work with internationally recognised R82 and Convaid paediatric assistive technology.
Build your expertise. Extensive product and clinical training and ongoing professional development.
A strong package. Competitive base salary, uncapped commission/bonus, fully maintained company vehicle, phone and technology.
International perspective. Join a global organisation that has been developing assistive technology for more than 50 years.
Why Etac
We are a global company united by a simple purpose: creating possibilities. At Etac, you will work somewhere that values:
