Finance Manager
Join Etac Netherlands as Finance Manager: own monthly closes, lead budgeting and HR coordination, and partner across teams to scale with Group Finance in Sweden.
Etac is a global leader in innovative assistive devices, dedicated to enabling people to live active and independent lives. From our Dutch entity, we serve customers across the Benelux and contribute to a growing international business led from our group headquarters in Sweden.
To strengthen the financial backbone of our Dutch operation, we are now hiring a Financial Controller: someone who keeps our numbers sharp, our processes tight, and our management team better informed.
This is a role for someone who likes to see the full picture. The work is hands-on and broad. Finance is the core, but you also coordinate HR processes and act as a credible thinking partner to colleagues in HR, Customer Care, Product Management and the Supply Chain functions. When the Managing Director travels, you step up.
Your mission
You bring rigour, structure and visibility to the Dutch finance and HR operations, while contributing to Etac's wider international maturity. Three ambitions define your first year:
Bring monthly and annual reporting to a level where Group Finance signs off without follow-up questions.
Forecasts the MT acts on. Make the half-year forecasts the document that drives MT decisions, not a back-office output.
A foundation that scales. The finance and HR-admin workflows you embed should still work two years from now when the entity has grown.
The role
As Finance Manager, you own the full financial control and HR-coordination scope for Etac Netherlands. You combine technical financial work (closings, planning & control, payments, VAT) with business partnering at MT level. You report directly to Gustave Moot, Managing Director NL & BE, and have a dotted line to Group Finance.
Beyond finance, HR-administration sits in your scope as well. You make sure the local HR processes run smoothly and that the team is well supported on the people side.
You are a full member of the Management Team and step in for the Managing Director when needed. You play a key role in connecting the business to Etac's international finance organisation, with occasional travel to Sweden for alignment with the Group.
Your key responsibilities
Own monthly and annual financial closes, ensuring reporting is timely, accurate and aligned with Group standards.
Manage day-to-day financial operations, including VAT, payment runs, accounts payable and receivable follow-up, debtor/creditor reconciliation, DSO monitoring and cash/liquidity overview.
Drive the budgeting and half-year forecasting cycle, delivering steering information the MT can act on.
Own local audit coordination, Dutch statutory filings and oversight of internal controls, ensuring the entity operates in line with Group standards and local compliance requirements.
Coordinate HR-administrative processes (payroll, contracts, sickness, reporting) and safeguard compliance with internal guidelines and group protocols.
Translate financial insight into recommendations across functions, partnering closely with HR, Customer Care and Product Management.
Improve and modernise financial and HR processes to fit the Dutch entity's growth and ongoing integration with the Group.
Your profile
You bring vision to a day-to-day job. You are not just an executor, you think one layer up and connect the dots between the local departments. You thrive in a transformation context where processes still need shaping, and you are not afraid to question the way things are done today.
You are decisive but collaborative, accurate but commercial, and you carry the ambition to grow into a broader leadership role over time.
5+ years of relevant experience in financial control, preferably within an international or matrix environment.
A finance-related degree (HBO or WO), with strong technical understanding of reporting, planning and control, and Dutch financial compliance.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Comfortable with HR-admin coordination, or eager to take it on: training and support are available.
Confident with Microsoft Office, ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
What's in it for you
Real impact, real lives. Your numbers and processes support a business that helps people live more independent lives every day.
A seat at the table. From day one, you are part of the Management Team. You contribute to decisions, not just report on them.
Room to grow. We invest in your development, and the international Group structure offers a natural next step for ambitious controllers.
A direct line to Group. You collaborate closely with Group Finance, with travel to Stockholm when alignment calls for it.
A package that backs you. Gross monthly salary between €5,200 and €6,000, pension scheme, mobile phone and laptop. 38-hour work week, plus ATV days you can take as extra time off or convert into salary.
An atmosphere people actually like. Informal, passionate colleagues and an active employee association (PV) that organises events throughout the year.
Why Etac
