Head of Operations - Medtech

In our Paediatrics Business Unit, we design and supply highly configurable solutions for children with complex needs. To further strengthen our operations, we are now looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations.
You will step into a well-functioning operation with strong people in place and take it to the next level by building a more data-driven, scalable, and robust setup. The total PBU organisation is approximately 80 employees, including four managers.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for end-to-end operations, from suppliers to final delivery, across a dynamic and growing international business.
As Head of Operations, you will lead and develop all operational functions within the Paediatrics EU & the Rest of the World Business Unit, including Manufacturing, Production Engineering, SIOP, Operational Procurement, Customer Service, and Aftersales.
You will have direct responsibility for our Gedved factory and warehouse, while collaborating closely with our Polish assembly site and Group Strategic Sourcing. You will also play a central role in optimising operational execution in Etac’s sales companies, ensuring a seamless flow to the end customer. And you will chair the Work Environment Committee (Arbejdsmiljøudvalg) and represent the company in negotiations with unions.
This position reports to the SVP Paediatrics EU & RoW and is part of the BU Leadership Team. Some travel to Poland, sales companies, and suppliers is expected. Claus Bisgaard holds the role of SVP Paediatrics EU & RoW.
Your key responsibilities
Lead Operations & Drive Strategy
Shape and execute the operational strategy supporting growth and customer satisfaction.
Strengthen SIOP to improve forecasting, planning, and inventory performance.
Ensure Strong Manufacturing & Engineering
Lead manufacturing in Gedved and coordinate seamlessly with the Polish facility.
Drive efficient Production Engineering and operational readiness for new products.
Deliver Excellent Customer Service
Lead Customer Service, incl. order handling, sales support, and logistics.
Ensure reliable global fulfilment and strong collaboration with sales companies performing final configuration.
Own the End‑to‑End Supply Chain
Optimise the full supply chain, from suppliers to end customers.
Improve lead times, accuracy, and inventory levels across central operations and sales companies.
Collaborate with Group Strategic Sourcing on supplier strategy and risk management.
Inspire and Develop People
Lead leaders and specialists across all operational areas.
Foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Your profile
In order to be successful you have:
Senior leadership experience in operations or supply chain within manufacturing. Experience from medtech is not required. We are equally interested in candidates from other complex, regulated or configurable manufacturing environments.
Relevant experience with customer‑facing operational teams and multi‑site, matrix organisations.
Strong SIOP capabilities and solid LEAN background.
A strategic, structured mindset with strong execution skills.
Excellent communicator with a customer‑centric approach.
Inspiring people leader with strong coaching and development capabilities.
Fluent in Danish and English
