We are now looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen our data capabilities and help drive a data-driven culture within Etac.
Your Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer at Etac, you will play an important role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions that support our business operations. You will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and structuring data from various systems, ensuring its quality and availability for analytics and reporting. You will work closely with the Data Governance team, IT, and business stakeholders to enable efficient data flows, support business intelligence needs, and contribute to data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to extract, transform, and load data from enterprise systems such as CRM, Finance, and Product.
- Ensuring data reliability, quality, and consistency by implementing best practices for data transformation and processing.
- Supporting data integration across multiple platforms, ensuring smooth and efficient data flows.
- Collaborating with the Data Governance team to align with data quality, security, and compliance requirements.
- Managing structured and unstructured data across cloud-based storage solutions such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse.
- Enabling business intelligence and reporting solutions by ensuring data is structured and optimized for Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for data processing issues and performance optimization.
- Working with stakeholders across different product brands to support data-driven decision-making and reporting needs.
Your Profile
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with a strong technical background in data processing, integration, and storage. You understand how to structure and optimize data for analytics and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing, automation, and integration.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Apache Airflow, Pentaho, Talend, or Informatica.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
- Understanding of data governance principles and compliance requirements, including
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Ensuring proper handling of personal data and privacy compliance
- ISO 27001 – Supporting information security best practices.
- Data Quality & Integrity Standards – Implementing policies to maintain accurate, consistent, and reliable data.
- Access Control & Role-Based Permissions (RBAC) – Enforcing secure data access policies.
- Data Lineage & Auditing – Tracking data movement and transformations for transparency.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.
Merit: Experience working with ERP systems, particularly Infor M3.
